Purpose

This site is here to help connect people and hereditary societies together.

Most societies do not have offices, listings in the phone book, or even web sites. So you usually have to know someone who is a member of one. Considering that most societies have small memberships, that can be difficult.

More people are researching their family tree now then ever before. What do you do with the information? A select few will publish books. Some will submit it to genealogical libraries, if it’s original research. Most will leave it for relatives.

Why not use that information to join a hereditary society? Societies in Connecticut have a lot to offer. You’ll end up meeting others who enjoy genealogical research, different periods of history, living history, distant cousins, or you’ll just end up with some new friends.
